I have watched many videos of people explaining this technique, but I just can’t seem to get it right. I sometimes make a squealing sound, but its very low. How do you make it squeal properly? Any suggestions? What’s the best technique, and keep in mind that I can’t go for guitar lessons at the moment.

It’s called a pinch harmonic. You have to strum with your pick and then touch then that String with your thumb pretty fast. You kind of “pinch” the harmonic out. Also you NEED a good amount of GAIN or distortion for it to work best.
