Your first question is acoustic or electric. For electric, a guitar that you can play just about every thing on is a Fender Stratocaster.
Heavier metal and blues, Les Pauls.
Rockabilly or folk, A gretch.
Country, a Fender Telecaster.
I don’t know much about acoustics, but I got a Mitchell (My first guitar) which I got for $ 200 and its pretty decent.
