Hi. Im starting guitar lessons next january and I prefer electric guitars but I was originally going to start with an acoustic but I was thinking would it be a good idea for a starter like me to start of with an electro acoustic guitar? Thanks.

Yea thats fine. the only difference would be the sound but that doenst matter right now cause ur gonna learn the basics. so any guitar works. Once u get real good then choose a guitar suited to ur style of musicplaying.
