I don’t know if it makes a difference, but in the end I am hoping to learn how to play classic rock and blues.

Thanks for all the helpful answers so far. Let me just say, I’m not trying to become the next rock star. This is more of a hobby than anything else. Thats why I think an acoustic would suit me best. Not trying to spend an arm and a leg either. Saw some stuff online in the $ 150 – $ 275 range. Not really sure what to pick.

a Danelectro Convertible–its acoustic with a built in pick-up for electric duties as well…and they look awesome.
